surreal man with earth on a string

WORLD ON A STRING by Lon Levin

Funny how images appear. This one started as a bunch of scribbles, I thinking about what it could be when my hand slipped and made a north -south scribble that looked like a yo-yo string. I added a little earth to the end and then thought world on a string, and the “song” “I’ve Got The World on a String” a 1932 popular song composed by Harold Arlen, with lyrics written by Ted Koehler. In the 40’s this song was popularized by Frank Sinatra. I guess the little man’s look gives way to what I think about that statement. Anyhow that’s how the process evolved. FYI I was watching Miami CSI when I was drawing so maybe Horatio Caine played by David Caruso had something to do with it as well.
