boneyard project in Tuscon

The boneyard project in Tuscon

I don’t usually post news like this but I think it’s a great project and the type of thing we as artist should engage in. Taking garbage and turning it into things of beauty and interest.
Last summer, Tucson art dealer Eric Firestone made a splash in East Hampton with “Nose Job,” a show of customized airplane nose cones by artists like Richard PrinceDan Colen and Jane Dickson. The artists were selected by Carlo McCormick, but the nose cones were obtained from an aviation graveyard, or “boneyard,” out in Arizona.
