All week I’ve been waiting to get up early and go to see the largest waves to hit our coast in a decade. Yesterday the waves were pumping at the Wedge in So Cal and I couldn’t shake free to see it. Like most of you I had business and work to attend to. But this morning round about 6 I grabbed my camera and off i trekked to Newport Beach and the Wedge. When I got there after loads of traffic (who gets up this early to go to work?) I had to walk a mile to get to the Wedge which the police had already cordoned off. Once I got there I wasn’t disappointed. There must have been at least a thousand people there and several brave souls (or should I say crazy water warriors?).
